Benefit Plan Administrators, Inc. Joins Institute for Integrated Healthcare Risk Management (IHRM)

The Institute for Integrated Healthcare Risk Management (IHRM), an exclusive partnership of leading independent health benefits administration firms, has announced that Benefit Plan Administrators, Inc. (BPA) has been accepted into membership. Founded and sponsored by The TriZetto Group, Inc. with co-sponsorship from Benefit Informatics, the mission of the Institute is to provide member administrators with integrated resources that enable them to better manage risk and coordinate care for client employers and their covered employees. Communication, education and adherence to performance standards are among the Institute’s established objectives.

According to Thomas J. Barcelona, IHRM Managing Director, the organization is built upon the principal that by integrating proven expertise in the design and administration of self-funded health benefit plans with comprehensive tools for cost avoidance, IHRM member administration firms are strategically positioned to manage healthcare risk and create the potential for greater employer group plan savings.
